MBBS in Russia vs. MBBS in India

Pursuing Medical education in India is very tough. First of all, the medical aspirants in India will have to clear the medical entrance examination like NEET, which is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), to pursue medical education.

Fewer Seats, more Aspirants

 Medical seats are few and the number of aspirants is innumerable. NEET has 66 000 medical seats for 13 lakh and 36 thousand medical aspirants who are going to appear at it this year. It means only 4 out 100 will get medical seats for admission to colleges in MBBS/BDS courses.

High Donation or Capitation Fee

 Although the fee structure of govt. medical college is not high in India, all cannot take admission in govt. medical colleges. As far as the issue of admission in private medical colleges in India is concerned, the capitation or donation fee is very high. It is between Rs. 15 lakh to 20 lakh depending on the college. So, it is not affordable for most of the middle class families in India to send their wards to private medical colleges to pursue medical education.

Don’t be disheartened

 But the medical aspirants needn’t be disheartened. They can get ample opportunity to study MBBS abroad in countries like Russia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Philippines, China, Malaysia, Singapore, and Bangladesh. There is no entrance examination and donation or capitation fee for studying MBBS in medical universities of these countries. As far as the quality of medical education there is concerned, it is of world class. Almost all medical universities have recognition from international medical bodies like WHO and UNESCO.

Russia is the Preferred Destination

Pursuing Medical Study in Russia has always been the choice of Indian students. Russia is ahead in the field of education, specifically in medicine. So instead of paying a huge amount as the capitation fees in India, aspirants can choose a good reputed University in Russia.
